Ms. Aishwarya Jain, Associate, EqC, led two sessions for the Healthcare Sector Skill Council on early detection and intervention of the 4D's — Defects, Deficiencies, Diseases, and Developmental Delays, Disabilities, and Impairments — followed by a session on managing children with special needs through diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Chopra conducted a training session for Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) on Making Anganwadi a Psychosocial Hub.
The session explored the potential of Anganwadi centres to serve as community-based spaces that support not only children’s early development but also their social and emotional well-being. It highlighted the importance of strengthening caregiver engagement, supporting families, and recognising the psychosocial needs of young children as part of a holistic approach to early childhood development.
Equal Childhoods was proud to provide technical support for the Capacity Building on Disability for Child Protection Functionaries programme, organised by PDUNIPPD, New Delhi, in partnership with Udayan Care, with technical support from Equal Childhoods and the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM), and support from the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi.

The session focused on helping child protection functionaries identify possible indicators of disability among children living in Child Care Institutions and Aftercare Homes.
